バークレイズ・キャピタル証券、境田邦夫を株式調査部 造船・プラント担当アナリストに起用

【2011年5月24日、東京】　バークレイズ・キャピタル証券株式会社は、境田邦夫（さかいだ・くにお）を株式調査部造船・プラント担当アナリストに起用しました。境田の起用に伴い、バークレイズ・キャピタル証券では造船・プラントセクターの調査チームを新設します。境田は株式調査部長の千綿甲一郎のもと、業務にあたります。

バークレイズ・キャピタル証券の株式調査部は2008年の立ち上げ以来、順調に拡充しており、現在は、トップリサーチハウスとして主要な株式調査ランキングの中で上位に選ばれるなど、多くの投資家の支持をいただいています。このたびグローバルセクターである造船およびプラントが調査対象に加わったことで、アジアにおける株式調査の基盤はさらに拡大し、従来に増して充実した株式調査業務をお客様にお届けできる体制が整うこととなります。

境田は20年超のキャリアを持つ株式アナリストです。バークレイズ・キャピタル証券入社以前は、ゴールドマン・サックス証券にて約５年間にわたり重工業およびプラントセクターのアナリストを務めました。また、クレディ・スイス信託銀行、コメルツ証券、クレディ・リヨネ証券、大和総研で機械や自動車、運輸セクターのアナリストを務めました。証券会社のみならずバイサイドでの勤務経験も持ち、投資家の関心や要望についても豊富な知識と経験を培ってまいりました。

Tokyo, May 24, 2011 – Barclays Capital Japan Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Kunio Sakaida as Shipbuilding and Plant Engineering analyst in Equity Research.

Mr. Sakaida will have responsibility for establishing and leading the shipbuilding and plant engineering sector research team in Japan. He will be based in Tokyo and will report to Koichiro Chiwata, Head of Equities Research in Japan.

Mr. Sakaida brings over 20 years of experience as an equity analyst and extensive research expertise and experience on both brokerage and investor sides. He joins Barclays Capital from Goldman Sachs, where he spent the previous 5 years covering the Heavy Industries and Plant Engineering sector. Prior to that, Mr. Sakaida covered various key industries such as machinery, automobile and transportation sectors in both Japanese and foreign firms including Credit Suisse Trust and Banking, Commerz Securities, Credit Lyonnais, and Daiwa Institute of Research.

Barclays Capital’s Japan equity research team has made significant advances since its formation in 2008, and is now recognized as a top class research house in major rankings. Mr. Sakaida’s appointment is a reflection of Barclays Capital’s commitment to broadening its research capabilities, and the addition of shipbuilding and plant engineering to the Japan research coverage universe will serve to further expand the Asia research platform and help to deliver an even higher quality product to clients.
